The Setting:
Our story begins on the planet Trieste in Betelguese Sector A. Trieste is nominally
a part of the Earth Planetary Commonwealth, but since no one has heard from Earth in over 100 years the Triesteians are pretty much on their own, and they like it that way. Most of the population resides in Diaspora City, Trieste's only real city which lies on the southern tip of the Planets's only land mass big enough to be called a "continent".
